Patients can self refer to the Termination of Pregnancy Service within the Gynaecology department by calling 01382 496762. This line operates 24 hours per day.
Termination of Pregnancy Service team will endeavour to answer your call however out with office hours Monday to Friday and when the line is allocated to another call, the telephone will divert to a voice message advising you to leave your contact details.
You should not call repeatedly, the mailbox is monitored continually throughout the day and your referral will be added to the referral list with your call being returned in the order it was received and at the earliest opportunity.

Abortion Service: What will happen?
You can self refer for a termination Once you have self referred you will be offered a consultation with a nurse or doctor. This appointment will may last up to one hour. It includes an assessment, what the treatment and procedure involves, a discussion about contraception and a chance to have any questions answered.
You will also be given information about other services available should you require counselling or support, or if you are unsure about whether or not to have an abortion.
